about BMI.
Divide your weight in kg by the square of your height in meters. Example: 75 kg at 1.78 m → 75 ÷ (1.78 × 1.78) = 23.7.
According to the WHO: underweight below 18.5; normal weight between 18.5 and 24.9; overweight between 25 and 29.9; obesity from 30 up.
Not very: BMI doesn't distinguish muscle from fat. A muscular, lean person can come out 'overweight' despite having little fat. To gauge your condition, also look at body fat, circumferences and the mirror.
The 'normal weight' range corresponds to a BMI between 18.5 and 24.9 for your height. It's a statistical range, not a precise target: body composition counts more than the number on the scale.
